Support Worker

Pay Rate: £14.00 - £14.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: 7:00am - 7:00pm and 7:00pm - 7:00am

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Coventry, providing 1:1 support to a friendly and positive gentleman in his early 50s who lives independently in his own home.

The individual has a brain injury and requires 24-hour support from a consistent and person-centred team. He is a wheelchair user and has a tracheostomy. Full specialist training will be provided, so previous experience with tracheostomy care is not essential.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker: 

• Experience supporting individuals with brain injuries, neurological conditions, or complex health needs would be advantageous but is not required, as full training will be provided.
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals to achieve the best possible quality of life.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
• A caring, compassionate, and patient approach to supporting individuals with complex care needs.
• Confidence in working as part of a team and following person-centred care plans.
• Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations.
• Willingness to undertake specialist clinical training, including tracheostomy care and moving and handling.
• Understanding of safeguarding, dignity, choice, and promoting independence.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality support.
